sleeper

sleeper is a pilot project that proposes to inspire the transformation of existing railway infrastructure into creative sites of contemporary art. The project involves the re-activation of unused infrastructure on train station sites with contemporary screen technologies to expand opportunities for engagement between commuters and professional artists. Screen based works have been installed in the unused ticket booths at five train stations in the City of Greater Dandenong including Springvale, Noble Park, Sandown Park, Yarraman and Dandenong. A three month season screening works by 10 artists will play on a loop and be programmed to go on at 6 am and turn off at midnight, 7 days per week.
